Prof Yu Bai received his Bachelor degree and Master degree in civil engineering from Tsinghua University, China and Ph.D from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne EPFL, Switzerland. He joined the Department of Civil Engineering, Monash University in 2009. He has been awarded ARC Discovery Early Career Researcher Award in 2012 as the inaugural recipient.
